Bodo/Glimt is missing millions in transfer fees from Russian football club Krasnodar. Bodo/Glimt's daily manager Frode Thomassen confirms to E24 that the club has not yet been fully paid. It's about half of the transfer fee for Erik Botheim. Botheim became a Krasnodar player at the start of 2022. The transfer was reportedly a total package of 100 million kroner. According to NRK, it was about 80 million kroner in pure transfer fee, and 20 million kroner as a performance-based bonus. Bodo/Glimt's lawyer Tomas Kristensen has sent an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he explained the collection of outstanding amounts. Kristensen writes that Krasnodar is owned by oligarch Sergej Galitskij, who is not on the EU's sanctions list. Bodo/Glimt has now sent the claim to Fifa. Frode Thomassen says that the club will get the settlement they are entitled to. Bodo/Glimt has not been in direct dialogue with Krasnodar beyond the unpaid invoice. The press contact for FC Krasnodar has so far not responded to E24's inquiries. Bodo/Glimt is missing half of the money from the transfer. The club has therefore seen itself forced to take the case to Fifa. The claim to Fifa's conflict council was submitted after Christmas. Bodo/Glimt will now await Fifa's decision in the case. It's unclear how long it will take before the club gets the money.
