Gaute Vetti was one of the most sought-after players in Eliteserien when he was transferred from Sarpsborg 08 to Bodo/Glimt in 2022. However, his stay in the north was far from what both parties had hoped for. Vetti has struggled with serious injuries. First, he had to undergo surgery on both hips. Then, he missed the entire 2024 season due to complications from an ankle operation, which in turn led to new operations. He was finished with the club when his contract expired in July last year. This spring, he has been training with Stabæk in the OBOS-ligaen. Now, the club confirms that they have agreed on a contract until the end of the year. Thus, Vetti is making a new attempt to continue his career at the top level. The 27-year-old was on loan to the Bærum club in 2023.
